THE ARMOUR OF GOD

Ephesians 6 – 12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. –

Dear all, greeting u in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ after a long break…

However, time and situation reckons it.

The powerful verse above is the leash to control the evil, despicable spirits that have been let loose by the devil in the recent times.

The paedophiles, rapists and murderers are roaming free and the worst part is they cannot be distinguished easily…

Even as the entire Nation is reeling under the shock of such ghastly, brutish incidents like what happened to Ashifa at Kathua.( an eight yr old girl was held captive, raped, tortured and finally murdered by a group of men whose ages range from an adolescent boy to a retired old man)..We, as praying Christians need to come together in oneness, to war against such stark evil, from infesting our society. The gun culture in the western world is claiming many young lives in the educational institutions as well. Mass shooting frenzy has increased over the years. Even students turn out to become killers.

Well, as young mothers with tender aged girls and boys, are shaken by such demoralizing, nightmarish crimes against the beautiful budding roses, shall we reach out to each other through faith, by proclaiming and claiming protection over the rising new generation through this powerful scripture.

We could be searching for an explanation as to what drives these demons to conduct themselves in such mindless frenzy of insanity…

But then the revelation that God gives is, that it is not them but the evil and the devil that has taken possession of them…

Evil needs no reason or clause to be evil…and that’s why it is evil.

So instead of mulling over it, trying to understand it and asking God, as to why such nasty incidents happen…shall we choose to believe in the absolute God, who is still in the throne.

Because if we dwell deep on churning out the reason.., the devil might discourage us from praying with a confident mind and a faith-filled heart..

So I finally, yielded to the Holy Spirit and said

” Lord..I don’t seek a reason, I trust in You, that u would protect humanity till the end of time as You are the One who created it and established the boundaries of the earth”..

May be, everyday existence has become a raw deal, and we are apprehensive to even simple day to day routine, like sending our children to school, our family members on the move to carry out the tasks of the day…all of these could in itself instil a kind of unease till they return home safe.

But let’s steady our shaken self, by putting on the Armour of God. Let’s discern the evil and dare the devil by scaring him with scriptures quoted as a statement of finality, sounding death to the devil’s plan. Let’s pray over our children and loved ones by applying the prayer oil on their foreheads and commanding the Lord’s protection over them.

Let’s affirm our faith and bind the unleashed dark forces that are looming large over our society.

What is bound on earth is bound in heaven says God’s word in Matthew 18:18. We will loosen forces of faith, courage, hope and holiness in Jesus Name.

Let us become the antidote to an evil mind by our calm and bold approach of prayer and proclamation.

And the enemy can never lay even his little finger on the one fitted with the Armour of God.

Shall we pray,

Dear Lord, we seek your comfort and counsel in the midst of all this chaos and turmoil. We seek your cover and favour over us, our children and loved ones. We pray for protection and power to live and move as powerful Christians. We are bold because we do not want the devil to defeat us. We step forward in faith as an army that has lost a few soldiers to the enemy’s deceit and yet march on towards victory. Clad in your armour of strength we weaken the enemy’s stance, and disarm him before he strikes us. Lord we win in your Name. Let not the evil one terrorize us with few hellish incidents. We take it not as an alarm bell to ring in the fear element, rather we take it as a loud call for the battle to begin. Lord, we call upon your name, you are the Lord of our hosts…help us daily, in this battle called ‘LIFE’. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
